First OFFICIAL meet of the season
Parents and Swimmers,
I want to apologize for all the craziness of the Mock Meet. When the online system we use went down, we were at a stand still. I know this was very frustrating for many of you as well as for myself. If I was snippy with anyone, I want to say I'm sorry, I really believed we may not have been able to hold the meet sine all we do is online. Thankfully it was a mock meet (a run through for us and NWAL) and we were able to have it after all. NWAL has assured us that they have rebooted the system and we should not have any problems this weekend. With that being said, I want to remind everyone that YOU must have your entries in the system by Tues at midnight. We are not allowed to add swimmers once the meet information has been exchanged with the other team. If your swimmer's events are not entered by Tues, they will not be allowed to swim. At this time we have 13 swimmers with events selected.
New parents, to enter events for your swimmer (s), simply select the swimming icon on the left side of the Lakers page (you must log in first). You will then select your swimmers name and then click add event. All you do is click. If your swimmer has a NT (no time), they will not be able to select that event. If you get stuck or have completed a time with the coaches and it isn't in the system, please email me at [email protected] and I will help walk you through it. I do have a full time job so I may not be able to respond immediately, but I promise to get back with you.
ALL PARENTS are expected to volunteer for the meets. Set up begins at 6:30 AM and can be done quickly depending on the number of parents who help. You will also be required to work a volunteer position during the meet and help with take down. Again, the more people who help, the quicker everyone can leave. If you bring a tent for this meet, it will need to be set up on the grassy areas, remember we share this space with the visiting team (they need space as well). It is helpful if you get there for set up and drop your belongings in the area you wish to set up, then you can set it up after the team set up is complete. Reminder: Dasani Water (must be this brand per the City Pool) and Poweraide for the concession stands.
