As of now the swim meet for tomorrow is still on.  As many of you are aware Navasota had 9" of rain and a tornado hit as well. Even with all that is going on, they still wish to swim. The pool was clear by city officials but they chose to shock it with chemicals as a precaution. We will get the final word on how the water is taking the treatment around 8 pm. If for some reason the pool will not be ready, we have offered our pool for the meet as a backup. Since there has been so much rain we will not be able to set up in the park (unless you are bringing floats), so we will set up on the opposite side at the junior high.  If you ordered a suit I will bring it to the meet. Please be patient as this is not a normal situation. For those worried about the drive Hwy 30 has 2 spots with water on the road but it isn't closed. One area is expected to clear around 2 am and the other mid morning. If you don't feel comfortable taking the trip, we understand. Please note, this meet will not be made up. I will send word by remind 101 and email once the final word is given.
